Prepare to be impressed, y’all! Kim Senn, owner of Senn & Sons, does absolutely amazing individual paintings for children’s rooms. Our kiddos are the same age and, though we actually knew her hubby when we went to Boston College, we reconnected in an elevator at the hospital while doing a tour when we were each about 7 mos pregnant! I had no idea Kim had this amazing talent for painting, design, and so much more…and now she is finally sharing it with the world!

She recently launched her website and Etsy shop, and she needed some new headshots for her site that could show a little of who she is behind the paintings (and the blog…and the photos…and the mommyhood). We went to Lover’s Lane in the Presidio for a perfectly serene backdrop to do our photoshoot.

Here are some of my favorites from the session. Unless you’re a professional model, you know that having your photo taken can be quite stressful, especially when it’s just you (i.e. when you can’t hide behind your kiddos/hubby!). She did such a fabulous job of listening to direction, staying relaxed and just being herself – she made it all look effortless! It made my job so much easier because I was able to capture her just as she is…no pretense, no pretending…just sweet, amazing Kim…CEO of Senn & Sons.
