Ahhh, growing families. It is truly such an honor to be a part of it. I met Deirdre when she took one of my “Photography 101 Workshops” a couple years ago. Her second son was born in December 2010 (remember sweet James here?) and then we got together for a family session in the Presidio to capture the little guys once again.

I told Deirdre during the session, but I’ll say it again to y’all. Mamas, we do a pretty darn fantastic job of juggling 10,000 things in our head, but making it seem like we’re laser-focused on the task at hand. And I’m no psychologist/therapist/whatever, but I’ll say that sometimes I see Daddies that have a harder time of compartmentalizing…especially when we shoot on a weekday and their head is already at the office. This isn’t a dig on Daddies – believe me, I have more gratitude than I can possibly count for the Daddies in this world – just a statement of something I see in my line of work. All that rumble to say a heartfelt thanks and kudos to Daddy Andy for being nothing short of awesome during our session!!! It was a weekday…it was holiday time…and he rocked it. He kept the boys entertained and giggling, giggling, giggling throughout our session. Andy, if that whole “real work” thing doesn’t pan out, you can be my assistant any day (ha ha).

So – onto the adorable kiddos?? Ummm, yes please! I’m starting with one that I would call “Little Ducklings” if I actually titled my images. I just love it.
